Hi KT13,

Welcome to the forums! You've come to the right place. Now for the truth. The fact that you are desperate for money thickens the plot and may actually work against you. Most people making a lot of money online will tell you it took them at least 6 months to a year before they started seeing anything steady (and that's assuming they are investing the time and energy into the right places, steps, etc.)

So with that said, do you have any idea of what you'd like to do? Would you like to sell your own product? Have you read anything about affiliate marketing where you refer other people's products on your site and pay you a commission?

While I'd love to tell you, "Do X, Y, and Z and you'll have a lot of money in 3 weeks", that's not how it works generally. Of course there are always the exceptions but I'm just being realistic based on my own experiences. If you really are serious about this, though I hope you go into this with realistic expectations and the desire to learn a lot and have fun. But if getting rich quickly is your goal, you may run into some road blocks.

The only way I know of is doing get paid to survey or stuffs like that. There is no fast way of getting money online. Except you are willing to lose $30. I mean you register with an affiliate network, get a $100 yahoo marketing search coupon. then advertise a product from the affiliate site. If anybody click on your ad, it would take them the affiliate site with your referral. if they buy something from the site, you will be given commission.

Another way is if you are a good writer. You go to any freelance site like rentacoder.com, getafreelancer.com, elance.com to write articles. You can write an article with 600 words for about $6 it might be more or less depending on your writing skills.

last way is to be a forum poster. You would post on forums. For 50 posts, you could get $5. But you have to write meaningful post.

i had same thought on my mind when i started online business. i have researched all over the place how to make money quickly. guess what...just wasted my time.

i am 100% agree that there is no get rich quick skim. now atleast i know what i am doing. investing money same like offline business. giving time and hoping to grow it up.

if u really want to make money quick..then online business might be wrong place for u. but u have time to grow it up...u can make lots of money.

just my 2 cents

Hi KT13. I have to agree with everyone else who have weighed in on this thread. If you need money quick, then maybe a job or a second job could help you out until you figure out what it is you can offer the Web in terms of services, products (yours or someone else's) or, in the case of someone like Dooce, an inspired blogger, yourself.

Once you find a way of generating money through mainstream means, then read everything you can on the subject of making money online, starting with all the posts on this forum...or most of them anyway. You may find that you have talents that could benefit you online and if designing a site is not your thing, there are lost of ways to get things done with very little knowledge needed...like starting a blog using Wordpress and a free Wordpress theme...if you don't know what I'm talking about then Google the term Wordpress and see what pops up.

And as a little caveat, don't waste any money on e-books and such until you have digested all you can on this topic from the various resources on the Web for free. There is a world of information out there and all that is needed is just a willingness to learn. You may be experiencing bad times right now, but if you really want to make a go of this, then full steam ahead... But first, take care of yourself by securing a "normal" way of making some money.

Hope this helps. Take care and all the best.

Ive been involved in this business for years and only just recently have started seeing reasonable returns. It takes a LOT of time, discipline, focus, and patience to make money online, as well as surrounding yourself with supportive and likeminded people. Be prepared to make mistakes, and accept failure along the way.
