Have found this to be a very, very interesting place. Am new to the world of I-Net marketing, etc. Have been just doing alot of reading/researching, especially Lisa's sites; do have a question that I haven't found an answer to yet; maybe haven't done enough searching. Here's my question: am thinking of setting up a site (information only type) similar to Lisa's flat-stomach one but was wondering, do we need to get permission from another site's owner to be able to link to that site or can we just put in a link? Sometimes the amount of information available on the INet is a bit overwhelming. Anyway, hope you all have a good week! Laterz.

You only need permission if you are using someone's content. I don't think anyone has a problem with you sending them a visitor via a link on your site. So just adding their link to your site is a good thing for them. But if you just like their content, don't just take it. You need to ask permission and give them credit as well.

You could add a link of their site on yours and request them to do the same so that it benefit you as well.

When you have links of yours on their site is good for search engine as well as if the search engine finds your link on their site than it will come and check your site as well and vise versa.

I have read that you should have keyword reach title and description in the links to get full benefit of link exchange.
