So I have successfully created an account with www.orgfree.com and have my own website address but it is asking that I replace the webpage with my own . . .

need some simple instructions (I'm new at this obviously)


I've downloaded FileZilla (FTP software) and found a free template. Later I found a website tutorial to get some step by step instructions which led me here . . .

I also now have a Html editor downloaded

Hopefully that will help.

Welcome to Website Babble. You can find lots of good help here. Hope the tutor you are talking about is a good one. A lot of them are not compliant with web standards.

htmldog.com and w3schools.com are two that are very reliable.

Welcome to this forum. I was visited the Orgfree.com and see the features. As they are talking about the features that is good. and Yes W3shool is good one for HTML tutorial. But now a days everybody using XHTML. I think you need to learn XHTML. Though You Must learn HTML 1st. cause there is nothing big difference between them. I just remind you about XHTML. and oh you also need to learn CSS.

Hello Arjen, welcome to the fourm ! You will need to replace the default index with the your newly created one. After you have your template modified the way you want it either delete the default or rename it. Make sure you name your homepage index.html Then FTP your new index to your host. Or you can paste it in the editor in your freetzi file manager
