I usually lurk in the background
Hey there... My name is Tracey and I'm usually just a lurker. I've been dabbing in web-sites since the late 80's. Nothing too serious, just enough to get by....I still prefer to code by hand, unless it's a table, then give me WYSIWYG any day!!
Anyways, My employer sold their company last December and I decided to hang out my shingle (doesn't every employee think they can do it better??)
I'm in the property management industry by trade, but in the process of dragging my web-site into 2010 I found Lisa...
Needless to say, my family and kids are sick of hearing your name tee hee. But seriously, I have to admit, your real life story has inspired me to finally get off my but and develop a second web-site that is not so narrow in focus as the one for my business. I don't know why every one doesn't do it!!!! All it takes is a little patience.
Oh, and I figured it was about time I stopped being a closet web-master. If nothing else, you've helped me have confidence that my "hobby" should be taken seriously.
I can't program Java, I don't write Javascripts, flash just frustrates me, but I know how to copy paste and follow instructions laff.
Anyways, the length of this post goes to show why I've been in the closet up to now, once I get started, it's hard to turn me off..
Looking forward to meeting you all in the forums, I have a few years of coding to catch up on!
