Hi from Las Vegas!

I am a newbie here and enjoy the opportunity to intro myself. My name is Don, and I live here in las vegies, ur, I mean Las Vegas.

I have a question. How do I register a domain thru ICANN, or wherever it is done?? I don't want to pay the big name guys we have all heard of. I 'am just curious. These large companies have to go somewhere to register the domain. How can I do that myself??

Unless you have a lot of money to spare at least.

Only officially approved registrars can register through ICANN.

The application fee is $2500.00 plus whatever it costs for all your work in completing the process (paperwork) and proving that you are a reliable, trustworthy applicant.

Plus another $4000.00 for the first and each subsequent year's annual fee for the servicing of the account.

Rather than trying to save your normal fee of somewhere around $10.00 per year for site registration, be more concerned that you register with a reliable company, one that you can depend on for not messing up your name or making it difficult to access for hosting.
