submitting website to search engines, how-to

so what's the process of submitting a website to those large search engines... google, yahoo, aol, etc.? i don't have the slightest clue. thanks.

But don't get sucked into paying anyone for better placements. Then go around to the bigger places personally and submit yourself. Make sure your sites done though or close enough to it.

From experience it can take very long and sometimes your site don't get listed at all if you submit it manually.

A quicker way to get listed in all the major search engines is to get a link to your site on a site that gets crawled daily by the se spiders.

Alternatively by a link on a niche site and your site will get listed.

You just find the directory for relevant site and submit url .
