I have read that you should not say "Buy Now" on the buy button on a sales
letter page as it acts as a psychological barrier.

Some sales pages I have looked at say "Download Now".

Has anyone done any testing of wording on the Buy buttons or know what works best?

I can't find any free graphics with buttons that say "Download now".

My Xsite Pro web design software comes with some graphics that includes a button "Get it now" as the nearest.

What do you think of this?

I can't tell you what choice to make on wording. Anything I would say would just be an opinion without any real facts to back it up, not my style.

But. You should be able to choose any button you want or like. To keep adjustments simple just make sure it is big enough for whatever you decide you want it to say.

After downloading and pasting the code into your page it should be very easy to find the text that is printed on it in your editor and change it unless it is a part of the graphic. Otherwise just use an image button without any text and insert it as background for your text. There are many free buttons like this.
