Default I have a silly question?!

Hey everyone!

This may sound like a silly question, but what is exactly decent traffic?
I am a little more then 2 months into building my site and getting 50-70 unique visitors daily...just wondering what is considered good?

Of course, getting thousands would be sweet- but what should be my 3 month realistic goal to know that I am on track?

Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance

Kerry, your traffic is good for a new site.

Remember it is all abot roi - (return of investment).
You can have site with a 1000 visitors a day and have low conversions or a site with 50 visitors a day and have a high conversion rate.

It is all about targetted traffic and how many of your visitors buy your service or product.

More traffic will be good for Adsense etc.

That is pretty good after only 2 months but as Lajocar said, it's all about conversions. If you have a very small niche with a very targeted audience then you may not need as much traffic to convert sales. So it varies from site to site. But the main thing you want to check for is progress. As long as the visitor total increases over time then you are on the right track.

Thanks Lisa and Lojocar for the feedback- much appreciated

I realize that it takes time, but I am just curious to know if I'm being unrealistic in hoping for 200+ visitors daily by mid-june...? I figure that is a reasonable goal?

Here's hoping! (fingers crossed)

Default That's Great!

Hi Kerry,

I would be so excited if I had as much traffic as you! This is my third month and I only have about 10-15 visitors a day. So I think you are doing great. Congratulations on your success!

Default Update!

Just an update...I started running 3 campaigns last week w/ Adwords and I am sooo pleased I think I'm on the right path, as my unique visitors have been 80-101 daily for past few days. I selected low cost keywords for high demand pages and it seems to be working well, as I even broke the $1.00 daily mark on Adsense.

My traffic stats for all of April were 594 unique visitors and this morning I just checked and for May 1 to May 10th- I have had 601 unique visitors, yeeepee!

Thanks again everyone for the feedback!

Hugs,

Congrats Kerry,

Keep up the good work. The key is not to give up, but to continue working hard and you will definitely be rewarded at the end of the day.

Kerry,

Great Job!

I would like to suggest, however, to keep your eye on your ad spend. It's easy to get caught up in how easy it is to get traffic with PPC ads, but unless you're getting the ROI you are looking for, it may end up being very costly.
