I want to create sound affects for my site, but I don't know how to make them. Can anyone help me?

I once made a space game (in C++) with my twin brother. He did most of the programming and I did most of the design. My wife and I did the sound effects. She made the pow pow pow sound of shooting missile weapons and I just rustled my tongue and made some explosion sounds. I can also implode my cheeks in a weird sort of way that makes a sound like a cross of donald duck and a creaky old door. This was used for some weird alien ships we created.

We were able to do the sounds pretty good once we wrote down a list of what we needed. I was surprised at the many sounds we did.

Be careful about including sounds on your Web page. Many visitors don't like them and may not return.

Default Use of sounds

I didn't want to do anything like clicking links sounds, more like sound effects for games that I am thinking of. Or really cool music. Is there a program that morphs sounds that you make? Because I have a really nice electric piano and I am pretty good at plunking those keys. But I would have to be able to make those sounds sound different, you know what I mean?

The only program I used for making sounds was windows sound recorder (built into windows) and a microphone, so not much in the way of major software there. I'll see if I can find some good sound programs to reommend to you.

One program I found that is free is called Audacity. I've been told that this is a good sound recording program and you are more than welcome to try it out. Here is the URL:

Hi Archulas

Are you talking about re-sampling a piece of your own music with a synthesizer and or special effects?

Because there are programs that can do that for you if thats what you are looking for. If I am on the right path let me know and I can probably help you as I have done some basic producing of songs in the past.
