Red face Good news and baffling news

I have good news and VERY bad news.

The good news is that I earned a total of 50 cents on adsense, and I'm ranked #2 on yahoo!

The super bad news is that yesterday, somehow, my computer suddenly got busted. I couldn't start it...it kept going to a blue screen, and then restarts by itself.

So I had no choice but to reinstall windows, meaning that all my website info was lost (I never gotten around to backing my stuff up).

Now, my only option is getting the info from my online server, which is a very old version and doesn't have most of the changes I made.

Guess it's back to the drawing board for me.

Giga, I'm sorry to hear that. I'm using Vista and it's been pretty stable as of late but I still tell people don't update to Vista unless you absolutely have to. In my case, my computer died so I had no choice but to get a new PC with Vista. There are still a lot of bugs.

So you may want to hang with XP if that's an option for you right now.

Vista came on my new laptop that I use for my website and I run XP on my other computer...my work computer.

I have no problem with Vista so far.

Sorry about the computer..that really does stink.

But yay on your 50 cents and Yahoo ranking!

Default Sorry Giga!

To hear about your computer woes. I actually read in Yahoo today (well yesterday) that Microsoft was taking XP off the market in June of this year. There will still be updates and patches available for another year. Personally, I love XP and will be sticking with it until I get a new computer which won't be for a while. I have two laptops and I'm extremely happy with them. And since XP will not be pre-installed on new computers, if you can, stick with XP. All new computers will have Vista on them. If you have an older computer and you want to go with Vista, make sure your computer hardware supports the new operating system, i.e: enough memory, hard drive space, cpu, video, etc.

Also too, if your computer continues to blue screen after you reinstall the operating system, you may have something else going on there.
