Default Need suggestions please

I need to set up a website for a side project at work. I need recommendations for a host, preferrably free. Also one must have feature is that on the main page users have to click on something that shows they have read and understand the terms of service on the site before they can proceed further. The terms are that they user understands that they are responsible for shipping charges, such as freight etc. This is for a recyclables site, mainly computers boards, chips, HDD's and the like that will be recycled for the metals they contain.

Again, I am a total NOOB to building a website. Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

okay, after more snooping around. I am thinking now.....what is the difference in creating a website versus creating a eStore? All i wasnt to do basically is post pictures of computers chips, boards etc., give a description of the item, cost per unit(s). And give contact information for purchasing.

I am more lost now than I was after the first post!

Hi halo71,

No worries. It can get confusing when you're first learning.

An estore is a site where you sell products and accept payments from customers. Doesn't sound like that's what you need.

I'm not a fan of free websites but I know a lot of people use www.freewebs.com. It's a good site to help you get your feet wet, so to speak but after that I would branch out and get your own domain and host your site with a paid host.

Thanks Lisa!

I am actually thinking about going with goDaddy. I've heard nothing but good things about them. So you think that is the way to go, creating a site. And not doing the eStore thing? I am pretty lost about creating a site. I admin for a guitar forum, so I know a little about the goings on. But that is on a phpBB site. Is goDaddy a php or vBulletin site?? Sorry for my ignorance in this issue. I really appreciate any help, advice I can get. I am on a dead line to have this site aleast started in the next few weeks. And operational by January 1st, if not sooner!
