Default How to and how NOT to create file names.

I just read and the NVU site that one should (NOT) use Capital letters within their file names, But did not specify WHY. Could this be because visitors and internet users search with just uncapped letters and the search engines distinguish the two, therefore if one used capitals in their file names visitors would'nt be able to find you even though the typed in the same phrases.

I cant think of any other reasons unless search engines rate those sites poorly for i guess screaming out like that.

If my first guess is correct then i've been making a pretty crucial mistake.

Another one for Techieguy

I don't use capitals because when I link to my pages I can't remember which files I had capitalized and which ones where just lowercase.

Plus I think it might have something to do with browser readability.

I don't know why, but from the NVU web site:

"and don't use upper case letters in this and other web page file names; it's easier to remember that that's your habit than to figure out how you might've ended the file name and which letters you might've capitalized".

Maybe it's a readability thing, but browsers really don't care about the casing of page names. I have typed in all uppercase when caps lock was accidently on and the browser navigate to the page correctly.
