Auto responder
I'm hearing that A webber is a good autoresponder for email, ebooks etc.. Are there any others or is this the holy grail?
Thanks,
Bruce

Have you set up your list yet in AWeber? The first thing you need to do is login to your AWeber account and click "List Settings" and setup your list. Give it a name, description, etc. After you've done that, click "Web Form" (under the List Settings menu) and it will walk you through creating the actual form (HTML Code) you paste on your SBI! site.

Lisa,
Thanks for getting back to me. I have not uploaded my own html yet. I'm using SBI's template. How would I do this? I have the list, form etc..
Thanks,
Bruce

Right, so if you have the form code then you just paste it into your SBI! page in the block by block builder. You setup your list in List Settings like I described above right? So just go to "Web Form" under "List Settings" to generate the form code. Now open up your SBI! page (you don't need to upload your own HTML. It works with the Site Builder) and just paste the code AWeber gave you.

Lisa,
I followed your instructions and got it done! Thanks! One problem left... How do I deliver my ebook? How do I upload it to SBI and create a link that I can include in email from Aweber?
Thanks again!

Login to SBI! and click the "Special File Manager" button. Upload the file as instructed. The link to your PDF will now be...
yourdomain.com/support-files/book.pdf
You can send people to that link for the download.

Lisa,
I got it all configured! Thanks! Quick question... I have added a lot of content to my site. Given it's a static sight, how often should I update content? I don't want to do overkill.
My blogs I post 2 to 3 times week.
Thanks,
Bruce

Bruce, this is going to sound vague but you should update it as often as you need to. I never have a steady pattern. If I have a lot of important things to add then I add them. But I don't ever say "I need to update my site 5 times per week". I update when I have something important to write about. Sometimes I may go 2 weeks without updating then the following week I may have 10 updates. So I would suggest you follow that mentality when deciding when and how often.

Hi Lisa,
I always have the impression that SBI comes complete with Auto-responder too... but the thread here seems to be otherwise.
So I not only invest into SBI, I still have to subscribe to an auto-responder as well ? That's a lot money in a month

SBI! does have an autoresponder but I don't use it. AWeber has much better stats and ways to segment your mailing to specific users (split up by demographic). It's much more powerful.
