Question help for new webbie

I am a beginner in this field.
I have chosen a domain name for my Company and have designed a site using
MSO Frontpage (approx 6 mb).
When I preview it in my browser everything works O.K, however I am not sure if it would be absolutely correct on the web.
How can I find a host who will verify my site before publishing it.

Answer urgently requested.
Thanks
Roy

Hi Royhart,

Ask your web host if they have FrontPage extensions. If so, you can publish your site yourself through Frontpage and preview it yourself. Remember, no one is going to see your pages until you start promoting your site and the only way to ensure it looks right is to save it yourself.

Your web host should have instructions for how to publish your site via frontpage.

Hey Roy

In order to publish your pages to the web your host needs frontpage extensions as Lisa said. Then your host will give you a username and password for frontpage. You go to "File", "Publish" and then it will ask you for your host user/pass. This will send your page to the web where you can preview it.

Again, your host should have some FrontPage help available in their FAQ's.

Default getting there

Hi Miles - thanks to you, and Lisa, for pointing me in the right direction.
I have found a host who can register my domain and has msofp extensions.
One final (dummy) question -
where is my site ? - it is not yet in a search engine so if I use my browser home page (google) and enter my site name will it be found or should I type the name directly in the address bar of the browser (IE 6.0).

Again thanks - great forum
Roy

Hi Royhart

You have to submit your site to Google, Yahoo and MSN and it may take some time for it to show up. Go to www.selfpromotion.com to learn how to get better rankings. It's a great do-it-yourself site.

Has Google posted anything about Analytics being down? They usually do, but I haven't seen anything.

I don't use Google Analytics much but I logged on today and noticed it was working fine. Is it still down for you TechieGuy?
