Teenage crysis...
Hi guys,
I'm in a little crysis here.
As most of you know, I'm 14 year old doing a bodybuilding site for adults.
Now of course, I'd want to put some pictures for the different workout routines. But if I put pictures of me, people will think: "hey! that's not a buff professional, it's just some teenager!"
What do you guys think I should do?
Thanks,
Jim

Its interesting and I really appreciate that you are being a teenager running a body building site.In the world of internet there is only one thing account and that is your knowledge not your age.You can use any one's picture, you can hire a professional body builder for this purpose.I think its not too difficult.

I could hire professionals, but I'm a bit short on cash right now.
I just don't know what to do right now...

While pictures and video will help on an instructional site like that, it's not an absolute necessity for success. I still think good content always rules so focus on that and don't get too bothered about your lack of photos. And in the meantime you can hit the gym and get prepared for your buff arm debut in the future!

You're right I guess, but I still need some pictures for all those exercise routines.
Maybe I should draw stick people? (I'm not a very good artist)

Well, you could try two things. First, check to see if you have any older friends who fit the bill, or possibly friends of your parents. Or, maybe you could try looking for free pictures online that won't get you into any copyright trouble.
I know that back when I was in high school, I had both friends and friends of friends who wouldn't have minded something like this. So ask around.

Volunteers are all around you.
In any gym you will have no trouble finding people willing to help you out, especially at your age. This may in fact be a great advantage to you.
Just be sure to write out a form that says you can use the picture as you wish so that you will not get in trouble with someone later. You have to have permission to use someones picture, even if you take it.
There may even be a fitness center that will help you get it all together for a sentence of appreciation on your site.

Thanks for the suggestion.
I've went to three gyms. The first two won't let me in cause they need subscriptions and photos. The third is a very small one and doesn't have any buff people.
Perhaps I'll make a trip to other gyms far away. Thanks!
PS: for the permission, should I write a paragraph? or only a short sentence?
Thanks,
Jim

create a good content for your site, and add promotional pictures to attract visitors

Hi Jim. Do you have a ohys-ed department at school? Maybe there are some big-armed lads in there who could help you out for a pizza or burger. Also, have you tried talking to anyone in the athletics department at school? A teacher who could maybe pose for you as you take the shots needed?
Now here's the big idea...while you write about how to get bigger arms or whatever, why not have a section where YOU do the exercises required while having a friend, sibling or parent take pictures. Thus, you could have a page where you show your development in a series of before and after photos. There's nothing like learning from example, and the worse that could happen is you walk away with more powerful "guns"...
OR...take the same scenario as above, but add on your site a section for teens to work their arms and other body building routines.
Just a thought. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. All the best.
