I use it because I like the multiple reports. You're not going to find many free stat programs that offer such a wide variety of reports in my opinion.

Totally agree with Lisa.
I have not had the need to use anything else. With Google Analytics, I am able to track virtually everything I would want to track (keywords, length of visits, geographical location, how many pages visited, etc, and etc) .

I like it also. There are so many reports, and I especially like comparing my traffic from one month to the next.

I really like Google Analytics, as some have mentioned, for a free program they are hard to beat. I also have Awstats which was the first one I used.

I use it but also have Real stats
I use Google for a couple of blogs but my site builder company provides Real statistics as a part of the monthly package.
I really like the Real stats program. Their system is so simple yet very effective and complete.

anybody know how to break down the info in Analytics to get detailed info on a specific day?
For example, I tend to look at the previous day's traffic only but cannot figure out how to break down info for one day to find a combination of geographic, page views, traffic source and so on.
When I do try this, I get for example the traffic sources for the day but cannot break it down from there to also find the geographic info as well.
So, I want to know where someone is from, what source they found me with and what pages they viewed...
thanks

I also use real stats the same as Jordy, it comes with Homestead sitebuilder package and it's a great service.

Click on the date and then choose the date.
Once you click on a report, do not hit the "Back" button and instead click on dash board.
When you open a report, look for a short box with two arrows pointing down, click on it and choose different segments like, country, keyword, etc, etc.

I Use Google Analytics
I use Analytics, I'm new to the SEO and web building arena but from the information that I decipher from analytics, it's very handy. I mean, analytics tracks your site stats, visitors, clicks, where they came from, how long they stayed. I had someone stay on my Fort Lauderdale page for 7.5 mins. I couldn't believe that I had someone stay that long. Besides the stats. Google Likes?/Loves? when you place their stuff on your site. Analytics is supposed to yield better Rankings and Crawling (Wow, I'm actually learning something). The grapevine (youtube) says that Google rewards you for adding and using their webmaster gear. So IMHO, it's very possible for you to dominate an adwords/adsense based campaign using all of the Google Webmaster Tools.
<Lisa insert google adwords/adsense referrals here> LOL!

I like it A LOT! It has several books written about it so it must be pretty hot stuff. Plus there's the free factor. I also like having all of the websites I need to monitor all under one roof. If you have a hosting company that has there own stats program you, more than likely, need to login to each websites account and check their stats. With GA all of your websites are accessible from one page. Also, if you refernce GA from the Google Webmaster Tools you must be closing one eye and clicking right past some very usefull stuff. GWT is another must-have for SEOs. Again it really brings all of your sites under one roof for all kinds of things (related to Google of course).
