Sorry, I must've missed your post from 6/12. Yes, unfortunately you are at the mercy of Google and the hosting company where this domain is hosted so I'm not really sure what else you can do.

I don't think I understand what you mean about your blog being the cause of all this.

I see that they using your domain name in their description on all of them thats why the search engine is finding their website is nothing on your computer that causing this problem is all to do with web crawlers only Google Msn and yahoo mostly used search engine are only one can fix this problem.

They must have hacked a server and redirect to their website.

Other thing I think you need to do is see if you can check your server checked and see if they hacked your server and installed a file that is putting your domain name in their description as that can be done using a script.

Default Don't worry so much—you will be OK

There are a lot of issues like this one to live with but I don't think this will hurt you as much as you think, perhaps not as much even as having other people steal your content, etc.

In my Master Gardener group a lady has people actually using her private email address to send out spam. She gets lots of hassle for it even though she has nothing to do with it. They not only send it out as if it comes from her, they have all her private addresses to send it to! Stuff happens.

In your case there are probably lots of ways people can get their sites to be listed along side yours in a Google search. Another member mentioned that someone had put your site in their description, for example.

Well, consider it a compliment that they thought your site was so good that it would gain them some significant exposure to be listed when you are. That's one positive thought.

Another, more important, is this. When I do a google search and get a lot of stuff I don't want I wouldn't even think of blaming any site I was really looking for. I would blame Google for poor search techniques. (Although I know it is a tough job and they work hard at it.)

Besides all that, how about the fact that not so many competitor camping sites get listed. That may not be so bad either.

You do great work. Your site is excellent. Perhaps the best thing you can do if forget about these ______[fill in the blank] and get on with life.

There is a good reason to use a separate e-mail address for your web site, and another for your personal e-mails. It is so easy to send an e-mail (or in this case spam) from a specific e-mail address.

Let's face it, when something is available online, it is vulnerable to misuse.

Techie guy,
Thanks for your input. I am concerned however that these inappropriate listings are coming up on Google search yahoo, and msn. On the first page now! We are swamped with them on MSN. I can tell you that there are about 14 guide schools in MT alone so there is great competition out there. Google: guide training schools. We are a highly respected program and I do know that if people type in our name on searches they do look at the listings.
I am just trying to find out how and why this is happening.
I do apprecite your thoughts.

It is funny in this high tech world we live in there seems to be no definitive answers.

Thanks

to narrow down where they picking your domain name from in their description you need to check when it all started and what did you add on your website.

You said in your post that it all started after you installed Journal i would disable for time being and see if it stops.

As there must be some file on your server or in database thats causing them to put your domain name in description its a no human doing this is a script of some sort and redirecting to the porn site.

I looked at your source code for your home page and I see a java script at end of code
</div></td>
</tr></table><script src="/flyspeck/trigger.js" id="flytrig"></script>
</body>
<!-- InstanceEnd --></html>

is that flyspeck file part of your website as I suspect that this script is the one triggering the problem.
If its not than go and rename flybeck to somthing else and see if that stops your problem.
The reason I suspect this is because its after the table is closed.

If someone is linking to your website, it shouldn't be a problem.

Try to build more backlinks to your website through link exchanges
or directory submissions, etc and these bad sites will automatically
disappear or go way down in the search engine results.

It may also be some flaw in Google's algorithm/ranking system. It
sometimes happens to show unrelated to sites for certain kerwords
(you business name in this case). It will get rectified automatically.

As far as contacting Google, it will take lots of time before you see
any results. As they say "Google is like God". It is very little time
to spare towards the ordinary webmaster.

Our Webmaster is doing this:

i doubt it's a person. more like a bot. so i have put a robots.txt file on the server that basically blocks all further crawling by search engines. let's give it a couple days and recheck results....it won't hurt searches but it might dissuade the pornsters

Maybe this will tell us something

I will do that. Can you please explain to me what that means [that is on the source page you see and where. I am learning all of this stuff and right now my webmaster is doing the work on it. I am still learning to do text changes and such, however a lot of these things are still Greek to me as they say.
Webmaster said some of these sites aren't just porn but dangerous trying to put trojans---------

You know one of these days i'm going to post on here that all is great!

When one right clicks on your page and click on view source code we can see the html code for that page.

You do not have to worry about it we can not change anything on your server.

Thats how I show that file in your code and is a java script of some sort and may be is part of your website only your webmaster will know as he created the website.
