Default How little is too little?

Well, I am working on my website, and right now it is very simple. I was trying to make it as simple and easily navigable as possible, but is it a turn off to have a quite empty site?

webtoy,

I think it all depends on your audience and their expectations. If you like, share a link and we'll give you our honest opinions about it.

Default Under Construction

On this same note, is it okay to place some form of "under construction" note on the site?

I think I read on SBI not to do this somewhere...maybe in the forums, I don't remember.

At any rate, I have had 64 unique visitors so far this month, at least 40 referrals from google ()

I haven't had enough to offer them...so of course they left and I am not sure these previous visitors will be back.

I have looked at from the POV that I will get more visitors in the future and someday there will be enough info so they will like it, stay, bookmark, and come back...but a friend mentioned last night putting the under construction type message on there and I am now second guessing my decision not to do so.

Does anybody do this?

I think under construction messages are a no-no. There's a way to make your site look complete even if you are still adding content so no need to tell people you are still working on your site. If you think about it, most sites are always under construction if you define that term as "continuing to build".

Go to www.google.com and you will see a plain and simple , but yet effective site. It looks quite empty, but is one of the webs most valuable real estate.

I believe that you should KISS (keep it simple stupid)
