How do you Hide a page from Google?
I need to make sure Google or any search engine DOESN'T index a page. It's going to have downloadable products and I don't want it to show up.
Thanks
--Mike

Hi Mike,
I found this page on the Google Webmaster Help Center:
http://www.google.com/support/webmas...n&answer=35301
It's very comprehensive and I think it will answer your question better than I ever could
Hope it helps.

Yes, I think he wants to do it that way so he can sell the products instead of someone finding the page and downloading the products for free.

Yes, if the page is indexed, your product will be free to anyone finding it in a search engine result! This happened to me once long ago.
If it is a PDF then the Search engine can make it viewable and downloadable.
I found out later that regardless of the product you need to ZIP the downloadable file as the SE cannot break into that.
The nofollow tag on your download page also helps but is not 100% secure.
