hey everybody, for the past three days ive been trying to figure this out i have had no luck though

my questions are

i made a subdomain so how do i get there?

would it be www.mysite.com/subdomain ? or would there need to be a html thing in the link or something. im so confused!!!

also im using pagewizard to edit all my pages on my site. but when i try to create a newpage for my subdomain page i dont know what to call it? do i need to call it my subdomain name???

and everytime i try to go to my www.mysite.com/subdomian page it says "This is a temporary page, that must be removed prior to viewing your site.
It is called 'default.html' and is located in the /public_html/ folder."

im so confused! sorry if this doesnt make sence......help please!!

Well what I've learnt about sub domains, it goes along the line of:

http://subdomain.domain.com

subdomain = Your chosen sub domain page.

domain = Global domain name for all pages.

If your page is or folder is http://www.domain.com/foldername/

Thats just a basic folder in your FTP not a sub domain try not to get the two confused

my host site is hostmonster.com and my site is mysticalkisses.com and the subdomain i made was myspacelayouts

so would i access it by http://myspacelayouts.mysticalkisses.com ???

also when im putting my links on my page do i have to put .html in the link..

Yep, you would access your subdomain like you mentioned:
myspacelayouts.mysticalkisses.com

Now about putting html in the links...

How are you creating your pages. Are you using a software to create your webpages or are you creating a text file and uploading it to your sever?

If you are using a software to create, a file, check to see what format it's saving it in. If the software names it "index.html" then yes, you should add the .html to the link, so it would be myspacelayouts.mysticalkisses.com/index.html

If your software names it "index.htm", then obviously you would put index.htm at the end.

If you are creating text html files... then when you name a file, make sure you name it index.html or filename.html, and in the link, it will be:

myspacelayouts.mysticalkisses.com/index.html
or
myspacelayouts.mysticalkisses.com/filename.html

When you're uploading these files (index.html, filename.html, etc) make sure they are under "public_html" and under the subdirectory "myspacelayouts".
