I use Trend Micro internet security on my Windows XP system. I have one threat that I have yet to eradicate. Trend Micro states that I need a spyware version 0.841.00 to rid my system of this threat, and I need to update my pattern files and scan engine. I do not know how to do this. Does any person on our forum know how to update pattern files and scan engine on Trend Micro? I will be grateful for any help in this regard. Thanks! William Wilson

Yes, I have tried malware removers also...I have used a currently updated version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware without any success...I have also used the AOL spyware/adware full scan without any success...Thanks for your suggestion though, and I will welcome any further suggestions on this matter...Thanks so much...William Wilson

The threat that I am unable to remove is "Adware Softomate". If any person has any experience or thoughts on how to remover this threat, I will be more than grateful for your suggestions on this. Thanks...William Wilson
