help with idea's to put on my website to make money online
Hello,I am new here and not very good with computers.
but I bought into a program and followed the instructions and put a website up.
hosting and domain name is already paid for but i found out my website only had the capture page for the program and then after they paid me with paypal they were then directed to another web domain that is now closed. so i disconnected the paypal button so no one can buy it. because now the program don't work.
I need ideas of what i can put on my website to bring in some cash because i am now about totally broke.
anyone that knows of something i can do with this website to set it up with something that works please tell me any help would be very appreciated.
Can you tell us a lot more about this system you bought? Sounds like you bought some sort of turnkey system that lets people buy something but what? If you want to make money with a website, you first need something valuable to sell and you need targeted traffic (people who NEED what you are selling). This takes time to build and it sounds like whatever you bought wanted you to believe that all you needed was a PayPal button and a product to make money.
My heart goes out to you because I know you have been hoping to achieve something with this program, but it is unlikely to do anything for you except cause trouble. If the site this ad leads to is not operating now to provide the "opportunity" it promises there is a good chance that it has been taken down because it is a scam operation.
Even though you say you took down the Paypal info, the credit card part and button you have at the bottom still have active links that could potentially lead people to give their money to someone even though they get nothing from it. To keep you from any liability, you need to delete that part of the page as well. I assume you know how to do that since you say you did take off some part. The truth is, you should take down the whole page. If you do want to use that name you can always put up different content later.
But sadly, the truth is that the domain name you have is unlikely to work for you even with other content. It is clearly scammy in its nature. That is in addition to the fact that it has a .net extension which is very challenging to say the least.
However, the good news is that the site is hosted on Hostgator. I assume you set up hosting with them and probably have this site registered with them as well. Hosting costs several dollars a month. Registering your name is an annual fee of around $10.00. Fortunately, when you have hosting with a good company like Hostgator you can have as many domains as you wish at no extra cost. So you can get a new domain name and put it on your hosting account (if my assumption is correct) so your hosting charge is not wasted.
But before you even think about that, take time to learn a little bit. You can learn a lot reading here, but let me refer you to Lisa's regular site called 2CreateAWebsite.com. It will answer the questions you are asking.
The web is filled with people trying to take advantage of folks who need to make money and do not understand how real online work is done. But please remember the line: "if it sounds too good to be true is usually is." You can count on it when on the web. I am so sorry you got taken in by this scam, but all you can do is mark it up to a learning experience and perhaps a kick in the direction of learning what really works online.
But you must look at it for what it is, working online means WORKing online. It is no different than other jobs in that regard and in some ways even more challenging than most.

Making money online is not difficult. What is difficult is the discipline one needs to stay focused on the process.
