They are many good press release websites that can help you get backlinks and some exposure to your new website.

Oh wow. Press releases? I never would have thought of that!

I'm gonna give them a shot now that you mention it.

Default Backlinking

I have found that on some of my comments that I have posted onto some blogs, the author has duplicated my comment on other pages of their blog.

Does this sort of qualify as viral commenting-ing.

Is there any real benefit to this, because I thought multiple backlinks from the same URL share the juice.

Anyone care to comment?

Sorry guys, upon further investigation it seems that I have provoked further discussion, whereby the author has run with my comment and duplicated my comment along with backlink.

How cool is that!

Default Ways get many back link

Social Bookmark is a good way to get do follow back link. Not multiple from other user in my experience however the link is a quality enough. Cause the Social Bookmark site usually is high PR site. Provide that you have to choose SB site with do follow back link cause many of them are no follow.

I use many social bookmarking sites and my backlinks are generally coming from forums, and not so much from the social bookmarking sites. Those sites have been helping in generating hits to my site, but not generating backlinks, so I agree on that one.

So what do you mean?
That's the thing. You have been constantly paying for it when you could build your links for free. Once you stop paying for it, there goes your rankings too!

You can get away with buying a few. I follow Wil Reynolds of Seer Interactive (a very successful SEO company) and he has some very sound, white hat advice about SEO in general.

Remember, link buying is also advertising. If you find a site that is really relevant to your niche, buying a link or two is not going to kill you. It's when you start buying hundreds of links on a bunch of different sites that could hurt you. Unfortunately too many people abuse it which has given link buying a very bad name in the SEO world. Most people do it wrong.

Yeah right. But looking for blogs that accept dofollow comments is extremely difficult these days.

A good source of getting links is getting on the first page on Google for a kw, and you will get tens of proposals every day. well, it depends on the search volume, and most of them are low quality, coming from India. Indian webmaster are really annoying, they don't even know English too good, and don't have any skills. They are payed by quantity, not by quality. However, you may get good proposals too. Perhaps even sales, since you're in top 10.

Add press release submission and link exchange on your list, they work well too.
