I hate to be the pessimist on this subject, but to be realistic, I think many of us are not going to make enough money from our websites to justify the amount of time we put into it. In many cases, it is due to the inability of our sites to generate sufficient traffic, due partly to our not having researched our topic sufficiently before we embark on our web journey. For some of us, we may even "own" our niche, but discover that the niche is simply too small to generate enough returns.

In such a scenario, it is really important to be passionate about our subject, and not just build for the sake of money. Then at least we have something we can be proud of, even if the money earned makes it more worthwhile to spend the time doing something else.

Those who are making a full time income from website will be a minority, and a minuscule one.
