getting rid of that image symbol when the cursor is on it
this is probably a dumb question... but i have to ask...does anyone know how to get rid of that image icon when you put the cursor on it? i think it's a piece of html code... ya think?? it's doing it on my image when i preview it in explorer and i haven't figured out how to get rid of it... thanks!
when you rollover on some images, an icon (it's more like a bar) appears on the top left with other icons that let you 'save the image', 'print the image', 'email it', or 'open the my pictures folder'.

I'm not sure what you mean. Could you take a screenshot and post it here?

yeah, you should post an image. I don't understand either what you mean
But as far as I do understand.. I think the thing you describe might be caused by some software/browser plugin, maybe?

digital,
to take a screenshot, find a key that says "prt sc" or "print screen" or something like that. In my laptop, I can get it by pushing the "Function" and the "Insert" key at the same time, but it may be different on your keyboard.
After you find and press the key or combination of keys, just open a Word document, or usually I like to do it in Powerpoint, and press "Control" + "V" to paste the image of the screen capture. Then you can crop the picture to eliminate the parts of the screen shot that you don't need.
I hope this made sense. Let me know if you need help with how to take a screen shot. Then, we can figure out the problem you've having with the image icons.

I think he means he wants to stop the mouse pointer from turning into a small hand when it's on clickable links.

oh wow ... trying to get rid of the little hand! i'm sure that's possible somehow, but it's definitely not what i'm talking about. i took a screenshot like you told me SSMorgan, but i just couldn't figure out how to post it on here so here's an address with an example...
http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/apa/517618946.html
it's an address to craigslist.org for an apartment listing in san francisco... but if you just place the cursor on one of the images for a couple of seconds, you'll see what i mean about the bar with the icons. let me know if you have any questions. thanks again!

hmmm digital 321, I went to the link, but could not see what you're referring to. Re-reading your original post, it sounds like it's a feature in your browser. I kind of remember I have seen that bar you're referring to before... but I have not seen it in a while. What version of IE are you using?

hey everybody...
i'm an idiot... i solved the problem. it's a setting on internet explorer like ssmorgan said. it's a setting called the image toolbar that you can enable/disable. i guess no one has ever had this problem because i think the default is disabled. but thanks alot for everyone's help! you all rock!
