Default First Video Production

Hey.

Just bought a new video camera and started to shoot some videos of the hamsters in action! Hopefully be uploading to youtube soon. Im planning on giving a video on tips on how to care for hamsters, fast pace with small clips split into sections along with information slots.

I also plan on giving a small tour of the site so i could basically say "and you can find all this information and more on my site" and then basically film my computer screen showing my website in action so they get a preview of my site before they even view it.

Im wondering wether to show my face as obviously im going to be talking down the microphone but i dont want it too look to personal what do you guys think?!

I'm always a fan of showing your face. However, you don't have to be in the video at all times though. Say for example you narrate most of the video from behind the scenes and then when you're wrapping it up you can close out with a nice summary statement and that's when you show yourself at the end. I think that would have a nice touch.

How you feel about this yourself? Showing yourself would make the readers/viewers feel like they know you more and if you are making a community, or interactive site in anyway then everyone wont have a feeling like they are talking to a wall. But you also have to remember that site is about hamsters not beauty contest or something

I just feel it would be rather silly talking about hamster's from them see'ing me. For hamsters i'd say it would be apropiate to show a scientist or and expert with his veternary gear on etc showing himself for a documentary or something or other, but not really from a guy who just admires the creatures. After looking on youtube for a while i cant really find any videos where someone has talked on webcam about 'care' as of such so im just thinking of where to go really.
