Default Changing Text in Image

Hopefully a basic question but I am creating my first website and am using a template (#14) from Lisa's 2createawebsite page. The template has a few images (left side navigation panel) with text written in them which I am trying to change. Does anyone know if the text is layered in some way on the image or do I try to create a new image??? I am would like the exact same image just different text! Is there a software which will make it fairly easy and is user-friendly and inexpensive? This site is awesome, thanks for all of the help!

It would be hard to change the text in the image. Can you point to the template link. Maybe the template images are easy to manipulate..

Hi bdaniell,

Unfortunately the person that provided those templates for my site didn't provide the PSD's or .PNG's (graphic source files). But you can still edit them if you open them up in a graphic editor and change them that way. Do you have PhotoShop? PaintShop? You'll need a graphics program to make the modifications.

Default photoshop alternative

just putting it out there. There are two image munipulation programs you might want to try that are free. At the office, we use GIMP or Paint.net

both are free and easy to use. GIMP is alittle harder to use than Paint.net but has more features.

google it. I think Gimp has Utube tutorials too.
