Smile Re: To Lisa's Screencast Blog Page

I recently read Lisa's blog page about threatening the competition with screencasts or recorded computer monitors. By now, most of us know that Camtasia Studio 5 is the best for recording, editing and publishing. The downfall is that the trial version only lasts 30 days unless you want to pay the hefty $300 price for keeping it.

Here is where I can save you a load of money, and help your website or blog with fresh video content. I recently received 3 free codes from a friend who works at TechSmith, the company that sells Camtasia. Of course, I used one for myself, but now I have two codes laying around with nobody to take advantage of them.

I am not trying to make money off of this, but rather help two other worthy people with their video content. So here's my offer: If any one wants to buy one of the two codes for $20 or so, I think I could manage to get rid of them. Now, before I sound greedy or something to you, sit back and think of the great offer you are receiving. $300 or $20? You answer the question.

If anyone is interested in purchasing a code, please contact me and we can work something out. All you need to do is download the 30 day trial version and then type in the purchased code and whalah, you have a $300 program to help you get more site traffic.

Enjoy.

Default Scam???

Even if this is valid, did the "friend at the company" expect him to sell inside codes for profit? Does he not know even two people personally who would not want to grab these? Is it not at least a little suspicious that this is a first post from someone we don't know here, not a regular sharing with friends here? The list of flags on this one is unending.

When it sounds too good to be true...

I think I will just keep my $20.00.

Forgive me if I am wrong but the signs are all here. This looks like worse than spam, it looks like scam.

Smile Just trying to help.

I'm sorry if this seems suspicious or anything, but I'm just here to get someone a good deal. I have been a fan of 2createawebsite.com for quite sometime, and finally got around to registering here at websitebabble.com

Hi 2Young2Start,

Welcome to the forums.

I have to agree with James here. When you join a forum and your first post is to promote a product, everyone's "spam radar" goes up and it makes it look as if you joined this forum just to self promote. If you were a regular member and contributed to the conversations on a regular basis, then decided to make a recommendation (without leaving your email address) that may be different (although I would still classify this kind of post as self promotion).

I have a feeling most people here will view this post in the same light that James and I have, unfortunately.

I love Camtasia and it was a $300 well spent.

Got to agree with the rest. No one is going to take you seriously or see your recommendation as credible since you just joined today and your first post is trying to get everyone here to email you. Sorry but if you were such a fan of Lisa's site you'd have more respect for her forum. OK, I'm off my soap box now.

Don't mean to attack you, but many of us have mad respect for WB and it just rubs me the wrong way in forums when I see posts like this. Sorry if that's not your intention but notice that everyone who has replied to you sort of feels the same way. It's no coincidence.

I agree Lisa. I love Camtasia too.

Cool Sorry:(

Okay, I guess I take back what I posted. For now, until I am more experienced and well known in this community, I will not spam as many of you consider it.

I apologize if I did anything wrong, but I was just trying to help. I can understand your feelings though, because I am new here. I guess I will just wait for some time to get used to this place. I am here for good intent and good intent only, so please forgive me because I did not mean to make this feel like spam.

Thanks everyone for helping me realize my early mistake.

Lisa, keep up the great work!

All is forgiven. I see that you have been making some helpful posts here today. Now that's what I like to see and a much better way to build credibility here.
