What do you mean by that. Like you dont wont to use someone elses pics or do you wont to have them uploaded to your site and not somewhere like photobucket. If you wont your own pics. Take them your self if you can if not ask the site owner if you can use them. If you wont to upload them to your site then use a ftp manager to do so. There are a lot of ways. If i had a little for info on what you mean i think i can help.

Well first of all, you don't put pictures on your site without permission from the owner. [I moved this thread to the Images and Video forum]

There are several royalty-free photos websites. Some you would have to pay a $1 or so per picture, others are free. That would be the only way that I know of to be able to use a picture on your website (legally), unless of course you take the picture yourself.

I know there are sites that have free photos you can use, but I have never used them, and I cannot remember what it's called off the top of my head. Personally, I use bigstockphotos.com - and I have been pretty happy with the selection and quality of available pictures.

Default Nevertheless,

"Yes, but..." You still take a risk when you use such services.

They say you can use them for almost anything as long as you don't resell as in a collection of images or use on mugs or tee shirts, etc. But read the service agreement! This is from bigstockphotos.com which is mentioned.

"...you must obtain consent from the owners of the intellectual property when necessary to comply with intellectual property laws. Absent an explicit written statement from BigStockPhoto stating otherwise, you should assume that no consent from persons or owners of property depicted in an image has been given regarding publication and that model and property releases are not available from BigStockPhoto or its content providers. Further, BigStockPhoto makes no claims or warranties as to the validity of the model or property releases associated with any image and such releases should be verified by you and that such usage shall be at your risk."

The likelyhood of getting into trouble may be slight, I don't know. But if someone is in the picture and you don't have a personally signed release you are subject to prosecution.

I take my own pics and never use one in business without a signed release from everyone in a picture. It is unfortunate but the times call for care.

Even though I've used Powweb, I've never used their site builder. I would imagine though there is some documentation or help in the editor that should help you upload pictures right? Or at least I'd hope so.
