Here are a couple of suggestions:

1. This sounds simple, but did you refresh your browser a few times? Sometimes, the browser bring up the older version of a webpage.

2. did you name the modified image exactly the same as the original image?

If so, sometimes, when you're FTP-ing a file with the same name as an existing file, you have to click on a box that says "replace existing file". The reason this is, is kind of like a built in safety, so you don't accidentally write over a file that exists.

If you named it something else, just double check that the code reflects the name change (including the file extension).

If that doesn't work, please let us know, and we'll go from there.

If there is a cross instead of the image, it means that your page cannot locate the image file.

In the "img src=" tag, are you sure you included the right folder and image name?

If you want, give me a link to your page, and I may be able to help you more.

i think this may be the problem...

the link you gave me is saved on your hard drive.

Have you uploaded the pages and the images onto your web hosting account's server?
