I have checked out the websites suggested, and some of them are pretty good, I'm sure I will find what I'm looking for, and what I don't find I will take myself. This is an excellent fourm, and very helpfull, I will probally be back asking another question soon.
if you are a student, you can use any websites pics for free, just as long as you give reference someware. but make sure that after you graduate, that you get permission by whoever has the rights or you could be sued. (my GF is a 4 year graphic design student..she lectured me after i made my first website).
I have checked out the links that everyone has suggested and there are some good ones, I plan to use the pics on them for my website. But I guess you do have to make sure they are 100% free or you can be sued.
Carl I would highly recommend SXC. Each photo with have a license attached with ones that are free to use. I've contacted a few image providers on the site and they have always agreed to me using their images.
If ever in doubt contact the person who loaded the photo, they'll help you out. Never hesitate contacting someone to use their photos, no matter what site it is. They worst they can say is no.
I am really excited to have found you guys. I'm in the process of building my site with dreamweaver, so i will have tons of questions... So I will be back often!
I have been trying to find photos for a while. Thanks for the info.
I use Classic Google Images and write all the details of the image I am editing in a little Excel document for future references and licensing my work. Also I buy other peoples stock photos for a professional high quality look on my site.
- Adobe Stock Photos
Theres lots of sites out there if I can't find the image I want on google which is very unlikely I look on other search engines such as Ask, Yahoo or even Live rarely!

My question is where do I find these photos, are there websites that I can go to and download them for a fee, or even better websites that I can download pics for free, or do I have to take them all myself with my digital camera...and that would take a lot of time to take all of the photos I want, and since i'm not a professional photographer, they might not look very professional.
You can check my site out nixweb and search either "stock photos" or "clipart" at the top of the page and I believe the "free stock photo's and clipart" article still comes up as the first result.
There are some usefull links there of royaty free images, meaning you can use them without worrying about copyrights on the photos.
