I like to make a video with camstudio. I know how it works but I have a sound problem. I just don't know how to get the audio voice recording at the same time the video is recording.

I have a headset from Plantronics and I can make audio files with Audacity software, but somehow I can't get my headset working when the video is recording as in this case I am not supposed to use Audacity I believe.

I don't know anything about your software, but I use a consumer based video editing one. I had a problem when I first got it, in that I couldn't record the audio. After some frustration, I found a setting that had Do not record Audio, Record from Microphone and other options...I would check your settings first.

Another time, my sound settings had the microphone volume setting set to off.

I just use my microphone and Camtasia automatically picks it up. Did you go into the Tools/Setting in Camtasia and play arround with some of the audio settings?

What port is your headset plugged into on your computer? Could be that if it's not in the microphone port Camtasia isn't picking it up automatically.

I played around with my settings but nothing works. The headset uses USB but I can use a banana plug as well for mic which I plugged in at the back of the computer, still doesn't work.
So I assume that Nblufire12 is right. That means I have to use a microphone or I use Audacity and record the audio file separately.
