Default make friends at YouTube

Somebody sent me an email and wants to become my friend at YouTube.
I have to accept now or ignore.

What are the consequences if I accept. When is it better to ignore it?
His website has the same topic as mine. It's about chess as well.

If you accept, there are viral benefits. For example, if this person shows a link to their friends on their channel homepage your ID will show so you may get some traffic from her subscribers/viewers if someone happens to be browsing thru their friends.

You can make more friends in two months becoming interested in others - than you can in two years trying to get others interested in you -- FOOD FOR THOUGHT

i don't think there's a problem with it, i see that they're just trying to expand their community and so they tend to push themselves to those people who have the same interest as them. but on the other hand, it's a great practice that you're so keen on those stuffs, it's good and it's really worth it!
