Default How do I check if my photos are OK in htlm?

I am struggling like nobodies business. I have just put some pictures into htlm for the first time, and have just finished the outline of my webpage and inserted as advise, but all I can see when I check to see if the images are OK is an "x" in a box. The root back to the image is correct, but I cannot check the pic, because I cannot see it. Any thoughts?

Hey Sleepwalker,

I know it sound ridiculous but a lot of people forget about it,
have you tried clearing out your internet cache then viewing the page?

A lot of times your browser will just pull up the file stored in your computer rather than reloading the page.

are you using your own website's image folder to store your image files or you are using a photohoster like image shack?

if you are using your own website's image folder, just go into that folder, find the image your looking for and click on it. you should see a link that goes directly to that image within your control panel. i always click mine so it pulls it up to be sure how it looks. Compare that to the link in your html code. Is it the same? If not just copy the one from your browser and paste it into your code, then save, and try again. Now do you see it?

If your using one like imageshack, just check to make sure that your code is the same from the link in your photohoster, and check the link in your html code to make sure it is the same.
