Default Video Software

I want to develop some instructional videos. I've seen tutorial videos where the instructor can zoom into a particular area of a screen. Is this a standard feature in packages like Camtasia or Camstudio, or should I be looking elsewhere? Thanks in advance.

Yes, Camtasia has a Zoom and Pan feature that allows you to zoom in on the screen. You can download it for free for 30 days if you go to www.techsmith.org

Bookie966,
I hear that Camtasia products are top of the line and you should check them out. You can also find some free alternatives to use for the screencast portion of your video. Check out http://screencast-o-matic.com/ or http://www.screentoaster.com/. They might help if you are not ready to invest in Camtasia when the 30 day trial is up.

I'm a fan of Camtasia and RecordForAll used together.
