I certainly do. First of all it ensures your safe from copyright breaches and secondly the images are of such high quality. I would recommend not to over do it thought. I’m going to be purchasing 12 images from Istock today that will be about enough to cover my whole site. I’m just waiting for PayPal to get back to me.

I agree. We use iStock images at work and we love the quality and the selection. We have used various sizes. I can remember spending hours just searching through the choices and just enjoying the view.
There is only one caution, if you are trying to be original you might want to avoid the images that are marked "hot". Otherwise you might see that same image being used by a site with similar content as yours. At work I have the luxury of picking another image and switching it when that happens.
Good luck with your image search.

That’s really good feedback. Funny you should mention that, I found a image today I was going to use but it's already on HostGators site lol.
Just a quick question. Do the images come as JPG or PNG?
Thanks!

I would look around at other stock sites too. You may find something cheaper of free. At Dreamstime they have a section of free images that are royalty free.
The links to Dreamstime and Shutterstock are in my sig.

Not to mention that you don't have to display the image as is.
You can customize in PS to create a new image that is more relevant to your needs...
Just a thought.

Have used I stock quite a lot in the past for imagery for clients, if its for web use and the image's are small then they are very affordable compared with some of the other well known stock photography sites online. Just make sure you purchase the correct licence for your needs. If the imagery is just for a post on a blog then I would opt for a free service like freedigitalphotos.net.
