Thank you Lisa for such a thorough and
concise comparison on two simple case
scenarios...most excellent.

I have a topic so New...so Fresh...and
yet...so Unique...it's going to create so
much contraversy and buzz in the online
world...it may change the direction of
how everyone on the web views websites.

Please tell me how or where I should
post this NEW TOPIC...it's Internet related.
I couldn't find where it would fit in the forum.

This Topic is going to blow everyone away...
I guarantee it..!!!

Default Strategy and Goals

Your post pointed out the importance of a good strategy. Before I started my blog I read a ton of articles and books on the subject. I mistook my goals for strategy which would have put me in great company with luckless Abe. Goals are destinations while the strategy is the road map. Thanks for the post.

After reading your sticky note on Brainstorming Advice, the first thing I did was go to google adWords and look up some of the keywords I thought were hot.

But the problem was that those words were hot -- and using them on my site would not be effective. So I did what I've heard from you and others say -- use the keywords no one else is targetingright now and pull in the folks using them.

Just got the data tonight
so will work on it later, after a 'nap' which is all I take anymore -- I'm too excited about the possibilities of making money online to sleep much these days. One thing I've learned over the last couple of years -- the amount of income I make online is determined by how many hours I spend online. doesn't much matter what I'm doing online, twitter, facebook, forums work best for generating traffic whether I mention my sites or not.

Hi Lisa, the post is absolutely FANTASTIC. As what I always believe, every road to success with strategy has to be executed step-by-step with proper planning. I don't believe in huge spending unless it is necessary to do so and unless the outcome and results can justify the money put in. As in the Abe's case, the guy really rushed into things but for Carl, he obviously knows what he is doing. That's the main trait that defines a successful online marketeer.

That was great exemplary Lisa, I almost believed they were real before "fictional" was there at the bottom. I kinda believe that, however, everything you said seemed to rule me out.

I'm not a programmer (yet, I'm trying to learn it) I don't have anything to pay others to build me a site, so all I have is my very unused time. I don't do you tube (I don't want to) kinda reclusive, don't want people to see me. Don't do facebook (don't have much friends)

Are there any ways to make this work for me?

This really opened my eyes. Thank you for this wonderful post. I love your approach with Abe and Carl. Until I read this post I was Abe but now I'm hoping to become Carl.
