Why I Don't Favor Facebook Because Their Platform Is out Of Touch
Facebook is out of touch! First let me go on to say that I had two Facebook accounts. One was an account with family. The other one was friends. I mean, who wants people looking to hook up leaving messages and pictures on your page while your family can see all the content? Also, if you do networking and have business contacts on Facebook, who wants other types of unwanted content on their pages or tons of game requests from all your contacts? I can't believe so many people go to Facebook just for the games, but to each his or her own.
But we constantly divide up our contacts in today's digital age. And I think it's a mistake and Facebook is out of touch with that concept. We play so many multiple roles in our day to day lives, that we need to separate these roles. You don't want to invite your boss to a club wear you go to be wild and crazy! That's if you club.
Facebook doesn't allow the opportunity for people to distinguish roles and only allow one profile. Which means, if you are dating and have a child as your Facebook friend, they could see inappropriate content (it's the internet).
Am I the one that's out of touch or is Facebook? How do people feel about their platform. Is it perfect? What could they improve on? I personally prefer Google Plus because I just think their social networking platform is better.
