That is a good formula to follow. Thanks
Hello Babblers,
Have you ever thought about setting up your daily tasks into categories?
I have – and I’m always more productive as a result.
This is how my schedule is planned out each day.
Personal:
My personal category will be most likely filled with morning
Rituals like walking, exercising, meditating and absorbing
Positive material.
Read:
In this category I pick a book to read and spend an hour a day.
When the book is completed I simply start on another book.
You can also Bookmark a couple of cool blog posts and place
them into this category.
Write:
I usually plan my writing the night before – and can be anything
from a blog post to an email message.
Content:
I spend 1 hour each day on creating content. Either I work on a
new book, create a video for my blog/YouTube or even to write
a blog post. (If I choose to use this category for a blog post, I make
sure that the “writing category” above is used for something other
than a blog post)
Traffic:
By far the most important category on the list, I spend 2 solid focused
Hours on generating traffic. The traffic category is different than the
“content” and the “writing” category. For example: Writing a guest
post can generate traffic, but I keep things like that for the “writing”
category. Forum posting and social media engagement will go into this
category.
Planning:
This category will entail things like research, looking into new traffic
strategies, and even planning out my next goal. I will also use this category
for writing down goals and organization. This category is usually the last
task of completion for the day.
I find this strategy to be incredibly efficient. I’ll give you an idea of how
I structured my day, today…
Personal:
Wake up at 6am.
Drink pint glass of water.
Go for short jog.
Meditate.
Eat healthy breakfast.
Traffic:
Comment on 10 blogs.
Make 10 forum posts
Participate in social media.
Find websites to place my banner
Read:
Scientific Advertising (read for 1 hour)
Read 3 bookmarked blog posts.
Writing:
Write blog post (this one)
Write email message
Content:
Spend 1 hour on my new Personal Development book
Create new sales page
Planning:
Research new high ticket service I may promote.
Learn the ins and outs on Kindle promotion tactics.
Go over my monthly goals.
Set out tomorrows schedule.
Each day there will be different tasks to do in each category, except for
The “personal” category which is always a constant. I believe if you follow
A similar approach like the one above your productivity will massively
Increase over time due to the compound effect.
I find Information overload becomes less of a problem with a system like this -
and you never neglect any part of your business as a result. Try it and let me
know how you get on.
Have a great day.
Declan.
That is a good formula to follow. Thanks

Wow, you really have discipline.
I usually write whenever I have time to do it, and feel like it. 2 little kids, a job etc. I can't really plan it. A lot of the time I should spend on my website, I just surf the internet sort of. I never seem to get to doing real work. But when I do, actually write, I write 5 articles in an hour. Anyway, it's just a hobby for me, so it's fine.

Declan, how much traffic do you get per day from the methods you use?
Do you find that the blog commenting and forum posting generates you much traffic? Forum posting gives me modest traffic, I think about 20 arrivals per day if I post a lot. Blog commenting doesn't give me much traffic at all, but that may be because of my time zone difference (by the time I get round to commenting on a post, everyone's already read it). How well does it work for you?Comment on 10 blogs.
Make 10 forum posts
Participate in social media.
Find websites to place my banner
Also, what do you mean by 'Find websites to place my banner'? You mean media buying? I'd like to know how well these methods work for you. Just curious.
Great list Declan,
I notice that you don't mention checking/reading emails. I do this first thing in the morning and usually in the evening at some stage. I plan my day in a similar fashion but rarely have enough time to do everything I want to do.
Commenting on 10 blogs and making 10 forum posts would take me a long time. I try to take the time to make a worthwhile comment.

You don't have kids do youYour "personal" section of your schedule reminds me of Ebden Pagan's wake up productive advice. I too also drink a glass of water every morning but that's because I'm always SO thirsty in the morning for some reason. My schedule is simple 1,000 words a day minimum everyday, finish work before 10 pm and be in bed by 11:30.

Very useful and important information to share it would be very helpful for the people.
