Default 2 Own a Forum

Hi Guys,

I have been on Facebook for a while now. I've got loads of friends, and I mean like thousands.

I change my profile picture like 2-3 times a week and I change my comment regularly. Every time I change my details I get overwhelming responses from a lot of people some I do not even know. My changes are based on the same theme.

I was thinking of starting a blog or forum. I'm concentrating on 2 websites at the moment so I thought it would be better to start a forum and I know I can pick up a couple hundred of followers with my theme.

Can anyone help me with getting a template for the forum. Anyone please.

Cheers Guys

I suggest that you first generate decent traffic with your 2 websites and then start a forum.

The template can come afterwards.

It is hard work to start a forum without existing traffic.

Even though you're getting a lot of traffic to facebook, I would start out with a blog to go with your websites first. Hold off on the forum.

It's fairly easy to generate traffic to your page on a site like facebook, myspace, etc. because your individual page is part of a much bigger, very well known site. If you took everything you had on your facebook profile and turned it into your own separate website, would you still get as much attention?

You should start a blog and keep current posts on it, and of course advertise your blog on facebook. Once you start getting a nice amount of traffic to your site and blog, then consider a forum.

You don't want to run the risk of starting a forum that has little activity. Start your blog and see how many comments you get to your posts there. That will give you an idea of how you will do with a forum.

I completely agree with West and Lajocar. Forums need more traffic than most people realize. At least with a blog you can get an idea and it won't cost you much.

If someone goes to a forum and it is empty they are not likely to sign up. Generate some traffic make sure you have a lot of potential members before you invest.
