Default Using Layers

I thought I would go for it and try something new by creating my whole website design in photoshop rather than doing the individual images in Photoshop and piecing them together.

So I created my design and used the 'Save for Web & Devices tool' once I was happy with all my slices and it gave me a nice coded up .html which was great really easy stuff.

Apart from I have a few problems.

Firstly the blocks and stuff I want to write on etc are just images so the only way I thought of was using layers as <div> tags and placing them on top as they are easily moveable in Dreamweaver.

However when I place it on my document it appears to work fine, but when I test it on different screen resolutions the whole layers move across the screen and there totally out of position.

I want the layers to stick to the images that Photoshop created but I have no idea how to do it.

Another problem I came across was when putting text in the layers is that it doesn't automatically go on to the next line, it keeps going and distorts the whole design its the same when the block becomes to small or the main block gets to small and you want to make a little bigger instead the whole design gets distorted when you make the blocks bigger its so annoying!

Have any of you guys got any solutions?

Thanks people.

You probably will not like my solution, but for me, having full control over the html and hand editing it is the way to go. I like to use tables where I need stuff to be positioned in a certain manner as DIV's are still pretty hard to work with and have cross browser compatability.
