Question Im New to Web Designing, Anyone help?

Hi Guys, I was wondering what I would need to start off making websites. I can do basic things by using templates etc. but I wanted to make everything from scratch.

Ive got Adobe Photoshop CS3 so if anyone would be kind enough to send me some links to some tutorials or something it would be greatly appreciated. Also I will be using Microsoft Frontpage 2003 to create it so also if you any tutorials send me links etc. to them.

I was looking to create the website to have a login area for users like clan admins, clan members, clan guests, and just guests to the website. Also I would need either help on that or tutorials again.

Thank You
Nathan

Could you please send anything you might have to offer to pr4nk@tiscali.co.uk

Thanks again.

Hi Nathan

Microsoft FrontPage was the software I learned with and what helped me was seeking FrontPage templates. I would open up the templates in FrontPage and start playing around with them and that helped me learn how to edit web pages without having to learn how to start from scratch.

You may want to surf the web for some templates to get you comfortable using FrontPage.

If you want to learn how to do your work from scratch, go to w3schools.com and do their free tutorials on html and css first. You can count on that site (and a few others, but not many) to be current on web standards.

After doing that you will be able to recognize when programs (even Frontpage and Dreamweaver) use code that is really not a good idea in the long run. You will need to know these basics anyway to be able to fix things when you can't get the more complicated programs to work as you want.
