Default Question RE Placing Logo On Site...

Hi everyone,

Newbie from Cleveland with a simple but challenging, for me, question.

Can anyone explain how-to (html or other) put my logo in the browser so that when someone visits my site they will see my logo. (If you look on this site in the browser by the "http.www.websitebabble...." you will see the "WB" logo) Thanx.

Paperless E

Cool Favicon

Welcome to the forum paperless!

I posted short answer to this question in a previous thread under site reviews. By the way, the image that you are talking about is called a Favicon.

You will find directions for how to make one happen for your site here:

Hope that helps!

As Jaress said its called Favicon, you just need to make a perfectly square image such as a (100x100px) just upload into this generator by clicking the 'browse button' and finding your image.

http://www.favicongenerator.com/

And it will shrink it into a 16x16 icon file which you can upload to your server via FTP, usually it shows up on all your pages automatically, but sometimes it does'nt (don't ask why!)

- If it doesn't which is unlikely simply type this into all your pages:

Code:
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="/favicon.ico" >
