Are you putting the # before the hex code? Not that it should matter 'cause it works without it I believe. I'm not familiar with that program you're using though.

I'm not familiar with pagewizard either, but when you say you click insert and then html, that sounds like the process for putting an add-on to the page, like adsense or a visitors counter.

I think the html code you are trying to use should be inserted directly into the content, like you would do to change a background in myspace. Try putting the code in the beginning of the body copy and see what happens.

p.s. i tryed doing it with and without the # before the hexcode.

I don't know too many HTML editors, so I may not be able to help.

If you know HTML, you could always use a text editor such as notepad, and just save your document as HTML. I prefer this method since I have full control over the HTML and formatting.

Try coffee cup http://www.coffeecup.com/

You get a free trial so if you prefer this instead of a site builder you can upgrade it, also if you want something a little more advanced I recommended its also as a free trial its just a lot more expensive to upgrade.

Dreamweaver CS3 http://www.adobe.com/products/dreamweaver/

Then you will be able to add your own codes or colour with a design preview and then be able to upload everything manually via FTP.

The code for background:

<body bgcolor="#ooooff"> or <body bgcolor="blue">

These are both blue codes, however the second will only work if you have it defined in a CSS document.
