Default Javascript clock, Problems?!?!

I downloaded a clock script from javascriptkits.com i got it to work using a <layer> in Dream weaver CS3 and Expression Web, i decided it looked good on my homepage on a layer inside my header however when copy and pasting the code including my added <layer> code that works on my homepage to another existing page just to test it out, for some reason i does not show! I use a tool called Firebug in Firefox to determine problems etc, and it identifys it fine as real layer its just not visible anywhere in the header even though the code is exactly the same as on the homepage.

Please help guys before i punch a hole through my monitor!?

1. Do you really need a clock on your site?

2. You should include the script you're using.

In your signature, it should be "sites" and not "site's" =)
