Default hmm my site won't work right

hey there guys,

I wonder if anyone can help. I've changed my site forexpm.com a lot. It works fine in google chrome and firefox, but in IE the menu bar is at the bottom of the page, when it's supposed to be at the top. I think it's something to do with the css. Can anyone help?

Thanks

Default A couple thoughts.

For starters I would do two things.

First I would get the correct doctype. You have frames on your page but uses the xhtml 1.0 strict doctype which does not support frames. You need to use the xhtml 1.0 frameset doctype instead.

Second, I am concerned a little about the structure of your menu. You have a section title in an <h> tag inside a <div> and then the nav inside an additional <div> which is inside the previous <div>. I would have one <div> for the whole navigation area with <h2> <ul> <h> <ul> one following the other in that div. This likely contributes to throwing off your layout. Right now I am seeing your page working OK in ie (I have ie 8) but the nav links overlapping the headers in firefox.

Default Recommendation

If you are really unfamiliar with these I would definitely get into them right away. You don't need to be an expert but basic knowledge is essential to manage your site.

While w3schools.com is tops and rather extensive, I recommend beginning with htmldog.com. It is very easy to follow and it doesn't take long to get the basics.
