The only thing about using someone else's template is to make sure it validates. Some folks do a lot of hacking of their templates and that might not be a good start for someone learning. But by all means try a few. As for books, I purchased CSS The Missing Manual, and that along with Lisa's video set me on a good path. Now I just need to find more time to finish the book. *groan* I would love to find a local, in the flesh, group to study with.
