Promoting A Free Ebook looking for advice on promoting my free make money online ebook. Looking to build up my email list any pointers would be appreciated.

Lisa's plan is a sure winner.
1. Get a gazillion visitors coming to your site every day.
2. Post the free ebook prominently on your site.

Sorry. Once I get something I find funny in my head I just can't resist blurting it out!

But seriously, you may get lots of basic ideas, but one I think of is giving it to others in your general area of interest to offer it as a freebie on their sites. Let them give it with something they sell or anything they want as long as they don't change the content and ask them to refer to your site somewhere on theirs (a one way link!).

This could accomplish several goals.

Totally agree. I have to say, giving away e-books has to be one of my most effective strategies. I track the affiliate links in the books just to see how effective they are and the conversion rates are higher than they are on my site. I'm still a big fan of building up traffic to your site and using that as a platform to sell your book. That's really the only way I've promoted any of my e-books.

Uhmm, you can post your free ebook on Ebay. Many people will surely be interested to acquire it.

Hello!

A squeeze page which has only ONE purpose - to promote your ebook - is also a good idea. People are more likely to opt-in if there is nothing else to distract them ie only ONE call to action.

You could also think about giving them a direct link (ie no opt-in required) to a couple of pages of your ebook to get them hooked

It's all about finding targeted traffic with an interest in your products topic. Traffic is essential, volume is essential but also fulfilling the browsers need is essential.
