So I've been all over WB talking about my cooking website. So I was looking for some Louisiana season companies I can affiliate with and I have not found one that do. So instead of me promoting seasonings for free I figure I can make my own Louisiana spices and promote them on my videos. For example instead of saying oh I used some smo-jo season on the chicken, I would say use my seasoning for this. So do I have to have the fixings of like a real manufacturer even though its online? Get insurance and everything like that? For now I want to sell it only online. Somebody please give me some advice.
You should always have insurance as you never know what is going to happen. I think you will find that it is cheaper then most people think when it comes to little companies. Also make sure you sell it under a S-corp or LLC. just to be safe. there are ups and downs to each so make sure you research which one will fit you better. I have both due to what I wanted to do in the two separate companies. But instead of actually selling the spices to save you some money for now why don't you sell the recipe to your spices. You can sell this as a virtual product they can down load after purchase. and this will allow you to save some money with the insurance while you build some capitol up.
Well all thats cool but selling the recipe? nah,you ever hear of KFC escorting their recipe for chicken with police in a metal box? Now I don't know if I have that kind of power but if things go my way this will be big,so big i keep my recipes in a safe deposit box. Do I sound crazy yet?
