How to sell software?

Hello,

This question may sound funny, but I am wondering how could I market my software so I could generate more sales and get better ROI.

Here is what I am currently selling:

The problem is, I am generating very little sales, which lately dont even cover the advertising costs anymore. I am wondering what am I doing wrong? Does my website suck? What kind of website (examples) do work the best?
Where should I market my software, what are the steps necessary to market successfully? What are common mistakes on software marketing?
Is there any eBook (short and clear) you would recommend me to buy?

Economic recession is i believe one reason..
People rarely buy anything at the moment.

I can be wrong but we can't leave this out completely.

Try looking into free advertising, so you can eliminate 'advertising costs'. You could try blogging, youtube videos, SEO etc

You should also look at optimising your site to increase sales, try requesting a site review on here to start.

I think , you cannot use a recession on an excuse on the low results of a website. You can make tins of money an any economic situation.

Make a series of videos about it (giving the product some credibility and proof that it works) and market it to your audience. Get people to review it - find influential people, give them a free copy in return for their professional opinion and promotional power. Is the product on Clickbank - are you recruiting an army of affiliates?

It's funny you should ask about an e-Book - I'm writing an e-Book all about increasing conversions as I speak (okay, I'm taking a 5 minute break..).

I think you need to emphasize the problem-solving aspect of your product more - consider making the sales page longer too. For you, I recommend signing up to minisiteprofitsexposed.com and watching it all the way through - and then paying particular attention to videos 4 and 5 on writing sales copy.
